The Tesla Model S
What's new about the Model S Plaid?
The Tesla's Model S Plaid is Tesla’s fastest electric vehicle. It may be hard to tell from the outside that this new refreshed Model S is any different to the versions from previous years. The new model has an impressive top speed of 200mph an insanely quick 0-60mph in 1.99sec (with a 1ft roll out) and improved charging speeds to utilise all 250kW of the EV supergiant's new V3 Supercharger stations. V3 Supercharger will charge your Model S from 10-80% in around 27 minutes. The improvements don't stop there as Tesla has made changes to the centre screen which is now a 17”-inch horizontal display with the most responsive display and highest resolution yet!
With these changes made to the battery, the car can onboard a 22kw EV charger that you can be installed at your home or business. This does require 3-phase power in your home that most homes in the UK do not have. At Car-Charger.UK we can install a 3-phase power supply in your home along with a 22kW EV charger installation. Changing the way you steer
The most noticeable change and quite controversial to some is the steering wheel. It is no longer a steering wheel it is known as a steering yoke.
The yoke controls the horn, turn indicators, headlights, window wipers, and autopilot, while your shift control will be visible on the interactive display. With so many new features on the new steering yoke, this will take some people a lot of time to get used to!
Not just a fast EV
This Tesla is more than just a fast EV. The front seats fold down completely, allowing for more than enough boot space, and with the ability to reach up to 390 miles, improved charging functions, and a new rear screen for rear passengers, it's great for family entertainment! Your rear passengers have the ability to control the media, music, watch Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and more while driving, with updates being made constantly for new content such as gaming meaning you won’t have to worry about your display not being up to date with the latest software.
